About the Competitions

Here’s a quick breakdown of each category

BMX RACE

A type of off-road bicycle racing. The format of BMX was derived from motocross racing. BMX bicycle races are sprint races on purpose-built off-road single lap race tracks. The track consists of a starting gate for up to eight races, a groomed, serpentine, dirt race course made of various jumps and rollers and a finish line. The course is flat, about 15 feet wide and has a large banked corners that help the riders maintain speed.

BALISTA CRIT

A criterium bike race for road bikes consisting of several laps around a closed circuit surrounding Extreme Park, Bandar Sri Sendayan (approximately 1.8km/lap)

MTB XCC

“XCC” is the short form for Cross-Country Short Circuit where the start and finish will be in the same area. The distance of the course will not be more than 2 km with a race duration of 30 to 60 minutes. Participants may use all kinds of Mountain Bikes, including Fat Bikes.

MTB XCM

“XCM” is short for Cross Country Marathon which is a form of mountain bike race covering at least 40 km in mountainous terrain.Participants may use all kinds of Mountain Bikes, including Fat Bikes.

MTB JAMBOREE

An assembly of all kinds of Mountain Bikes including Fat Bikes. The MTB Jamboree participants will ride the trails similar to the MTB XCM race trail. This is a good activity for new riders to participate and meet new friends. New riders or first timers get the chance to improvise their riding skills in Mountain Biking.

PUSH BIKE

A race using push bike type of bicycles (non pedals). This is a great start for kids who are novice in the cycling world. Participants race over a track with obstacles using the push bike, pushing the bikes while learning to balance it.
